Bathroom floor tile

It was bathroom floor tile weekend. Our stretch goal was to measure, cut and lay all the floor tile. We were able measure and cut all the tile, but only able to lay about 60% of the tiles. We’ll need another couple of nights to finish laying the floor tile and grouting. Jill described the tile and paint selections last month in her post, Interior Painting.

Hi, I’ve been following your blog and asked a Q a while back when you were working on your ERV. I’ll be installing our ventilator in the next two weeks or so and was wondering how you’ve found yours (if you’ve run it yet?).

    How is the noise inside?

How did the T connections work instead of the wye connections?

Thanks! (and your house looks great!)

Hi Mary. With any luck we may commission our ERV and ASHP in a few weeks. I don’t want to run the ERV till the sheetrock taper finishes taping and sanding. That generates a lot of dust that I don’t want in my ERV filters just yet. Unfortunately that may not be soon enough to provide feedback for you, but there’s no reason not to insist that your installer follow best practices and spell it out in the contract. Thanks for reminding me about these issues, I’ll definitely post an update when the systems are commissioned. Thanks and good luck with your house.
